20 Min Repair Cafe Appointment

Our volunteers will spend up to 20 minutes attempting to fix your item(s).

Depending on how busy the event is, attendees will have a maximum of one item looked at. If there isn’t another attendee waiting, the volunteer can choose to look at multiple items.

Whenever possible, attendees are encouraged to do the repair with the guidance of the volunteer.

The volunteers do not guarantee that they will be able to fix your item and aren’t obligated to reassemble items that can’t be fixed.

Volunteers can refuse to work on an item for any reason. Examples include the item being unsafe, unclean, out of their skill set, too large or heavy or no parts available.

Attendees must take all items, fixed and unfixed, with them when they leave.

Neither the volunteer fixers nor the event organizers can be held liable for losses resulting from the repair, any advice given or any other losses as a result of the work performed at the event.

All repairs are free, but we do appreciate donations to help cover the cost of supplies and volunteer refreshments.

Repair Cafes are free events where your community members can bring their broken items and have them repaired by volunteers. This Repair Cafe is a one-day pop-up event at the Weyburn Public Library on Saturday March 28th, 2026.

The goals of the Repair Cafe is so timely with the current situation on waste reduction and the problem of various kinds of pollution. I loved the idea that we don't need to buy another piece because that thing can be FIXED. Waste reduction by way of fixing and RE-USING is NOBLE.

My experience was great. All the people were friendly and helpful. Barry worked on my stick vac power head but unfortunately he was not able to fix it. We did find the problem tho-the motor was shot. I will definitely be going again as I have something else I need help with. Thank you to everyone.
